The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) placed the financial investigation of the illegal wildlife trade (IWT) firmly on its agenda under the 2019-2020 Chinese Presidency of Xianming Liu. In the wake of the release of the FATF’s 2020 report on IWT, Tom Keatinge and I digested the results and proposed the FATF focus on other areas of environmental crime.
